Lara Scott can be heard every weekday from 10a-3p on KFSH 95.9 The Fish (www.fish959.com), and nightly from 7p—Midnight on 99.5 KKLA (www.kkla.com).
Scott’s voice has been heard on programs for Bravo, VH-1, and WE, the Olympic Encore on Universal Sports, commercials for the WOW Worship series and Beth Moore, promos for the Way-FM Radio Network, plus 12-Inch Saturday Night 80’s Dance Party and in-flight programming for Delta Radio and Air Force 1. Scott has been featured on the popular radio industry websites HisAir.net, LARadio.com, Christianitytoday.com, AllAccess.com, and R&R.
Born in Southwest Florida, Scott headed west after high school. She got into radio in Bend, Oregon, after randomly calling a local station, and then continued her broadcasting career in Portland. After graduating with a B.S. in Philosophy from Portland State University, she moved to San Francisco to become the music director and nighttime air personality at KZQZ. She was the afternoon drive host at KIOI in the Bay Area, and also spent almost 7 years as the midday host at KYSR/Star 98.7 in
Scott was a 2008 President’s Volunteer Service Award winner, which was presented by recording artist Michael W. Smith on behalf of President George W. Bush for her charity work. In her free time, she can be found snowboarding, biking, playing with her cats, and attending lots of concerts and movies.
